Michael McGinnis is the creator of Underscore show. When He is not behind a glowing screen, he is enjoying the outdoors and finding adventure where-ever he goes.
Michael has grown up paying attention to the gaming industry from the early days of E3 and CES and has enjoyed following the publishers and developments teams within the industry and learning of where the industry may be going in the future outside of the release of individual games.
He has been an early adopter of tech and gaming consoles for much of his life and always wants to be in the know about industry news and upcoming gaming and tech releases. He has a passion for the synergy that is created between hardware and software and for the engineering of ecosystems and their efficiencies. Michael is also fascinated by the potential of emerging tech that has the possibility of changing the way we play games such as VR, motion control, etc.
When Michael isn’t gaming or spending his time learning about new technologies, he is always seeking adventure outdoors, whether it be hiking, camping, surfing, cycling, or spontaneous road trips.
Sharla-Rose Rogic is the writer and co-host of the Underscore Show. When she is not sinking hours into open-world action adventures and the Marvel franchise, she’s cooking up a storm at her day job.
Sharla’s passion for gaming comes from her fascination of story, lore and world-building within the games she plays and how it meshes with the mechanics and helps to transport gamers to another world. This interest in story and writing is very much a part of her everyday life with her spending her spare time writing, world-building and creating characters and well as having a huge influence on her choice of entertainment, helping her grow her physical movie collection to 700+ titles.
Her journey in gaming has led her to stream a number of games of different genres, always keen to show others what she is up to and how she plays games as well as engaging with those willing to watch and learning about how they feel about the games and whether or not they play differently.
Sharla loves animals and anything that has a cat in the game is almost for sure an easy sell to her. Outside of gaming and writing, Sharla spends her time engaging in her passion of cooking and eating delicious food and spending her money on experiences with her friends and loved ones.
